Homecomings
They seemed very happy to be going home to Mount Vernon. What is the most wonderful thing about coming home after a long journey?

I think it is the family, friends, and the memories. When George and his family arrived back it talked about his dear friends George William and Sally- all of the great times they had had together.
this makes me think of Utah. Whenever we get back it is great because we get to see our family and friends but also because we have memories EVERYWHERE. It is like driving down the street we can say, "Oh look, there is where we met, there is our friend so and so's house where we did this, there's the place we went on this date, there's the place we used to shop... etc... every place has a memory. It is comforting and familiar.

It is so much fun to travel and see wonderful things and experience new things...but when you come home you are around the things and people you love and things that are familiar and that speak of who you are. George was away from his home for such long periods of time and although he loved being a part of the things shaping our country Mt.Vernon was his heart.
Hey, where do we look for the list of books to read? I can't remember what we're doing for March... yikes!
