How do you think life changed for the Cratchett family after that Christmas?

They were given a decent wage to support their family and a friend who became dear to all of them. They did not have to want after that. And Tiny Tim's health improved because of the needed care he now received.

In obvious ways their son didn't die. That's about the best thing that could ever happen to a family. I am sure that their life was made a lot easier and less stressful as Scrooge became more generous and less demanding.
