Why?

Why do you think Charles Dickens wrote this book?

As a creative thinker and writer he probably saw life around him and in others and decided the way he could best make changes for himself and others would be to write it.

I'm sure the idea just popped into his head. As an aspiring writer that is how I get my ideas. Maybe somebody said or did something that made him want to put this particular message out there.
