How did Scrooge's childhood relationship with his own father shape him as an adult?

I think it made him selfish and ignorant of the needs of others...and because he had been treated so badly that is how he treated others.

I think it made him selfish. He had to think of himself since his father wouldn't. He probably assumed that most people in life would treat him that way and built up a wall from letting people in.
