Lovers Vows
The production of Lovers' Vows occurs despite the fact that the whole cast knows that Sir Thomas would disaprove. Discuss why he might feel this way , and the consequence of his absence on his family.

I think back in those days acting and the theatre were considered taboo in good circles. I think it was considered bad to be in the company of actors and that they were a bad influence. Now when he came home not only did he find acting going on but his home had been turned upside-down and changed in order to accomodate a theate and people he did not know were in his home.
