The professors

Consider the professors at Hogwarts, including Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Quirrell – what does each character stand for? What does Harry learn from each one?

I think they all stand for a lot. Dumbledore stands for fairness and goodness as well as using magic in the right way.
I am tempted to go through a list of all the professors but I don't have the time!
I think Harry learns so much from all of them but mostly from Dumbledore and Hagrid.
Hagrid is just a warm hearted caring person.

I think the professors are so well done. They seem very real.

Dumbledore is like a father figure to Harry, in my mind. I think it was his mission to help Harry Potter become who he needed to be throughout the series.

McGonagall is stern and helps the kids learn to play by the rules.

Hagrid is just there to show Harry love. He needs Harry as much ad Harry needs him. They were both in need of a family and I think they found that in each other.

I think my favorite teacher in the series in Lupin, but since he isn't in book one I will shut up.

Dumbledore was such a good man and really set the tone for the whole school plus being the father figure for Harry and all the students. McGonagall was strict but kind. Hagrid was the protector and once you were his friend you were forever. Quirrell seemed such a stuttering, clumsy professor but ended up a traitor. Snape was so mean that it was hard not to hate him.
