Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

Kind of. I was hoping for a 'happy ending' where Winston somehow became part of something that overturned it all but I had a feeling that it was going to end exactly as it did.
I was still hoping that somehow Winston would overthrow and overcome. But he was deceived by people he thought he could trust...the supposed Brotherhood. But as the end came near I felt like all was lost...but I still had a thread of hope until he was sitting outside the cafe.
Yes, and no. I already commented that I hoped for a different ending, but understand the importance of the ending that was written.
