Bonnie's death
How do you think Rhett and Scarlett reacted differently to Bonnie's death? Do you understand why they reacted the way they did?

It ruined Rhett. I think, as he said in the book, she was the first and only person to ever be fully his.
He loved her more than anyone and anything. After she was born every thing he did was done to help her in some way.
Scarlett went straight to anger.
I think Bonnie finally broke down all of Rhett's walls and humbled him. He allowed himself to be weak and vulnerable and it broke him entirely.
Scarlett did what she always did and picked up the pieces and tried to hold everyone together. I do not think either one of them would have gone as far to the extreme if they had allowed themselves to grieve together and to lean on one another.
It was so frustrating to see them pridefully refuse to reach out to each other when no one else could have possibly comforted them the way that they could have comforted each other. They were in the same boat and refused to row together and it broke my heart.
He loved Bonnie with all his heart and it nearly killed him to have her die. Scarlet, on the other hand, loved Bonnie too but was angry and blamed Rhett for killing her by giving her a horse and teaching her to jump.
