Mel and Jared
Mel insists that she would have loved Jared back when she first met him
even if he were the hard, cynical person she and Wanda re-encounters in
the cave. Do you agree?

Probably, because there weren't many humans that they knew of that still existed. But, also, Mel was kind of a feisty person too so she probably would have just talked back to him and fell in love with him because he was handsome and not a pushover.
Agree. When you can't be picky, you just make do with what you've got. And he wasn't all bad.
I agree. Melanie had that type of personality too so she and Jared were perfectly matched.
