Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

I think Heidi is the kind of girl that is always a little excited about a new situation but she must have been a little overwhelmed as well as already homesick.
Of course, from the very beginning she felt that this visit was only temporary and she would be back with the Grandfather soon.
She is nervous...especially when she meets Fraulein Rottenmeier. But is also curious and anxious to meet Klara. She misses her home with Grandfather and the Alm.
Probably overwhelmed and confused.
