Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

Liesel, of course. But I really liked Rudy and Papa. Wow, it is hard to pick one favorite character!
I agree that Liesel and Rudy and Hans were all my favorite characters but would add Max. I really felt a kinship to Max from the start.
That is tough! I loved Max because I am always a sucker for the underdog and his pain felt very real to me. I also loved Hans and Rosa for taking him in and of course how could you not love Liesel. She reminded me very much of Francie Nolan from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn who is probably my favorite child in fiction. And then there was Rudy....how to choose....? Fantastic characters in this book.
