Savannah

Sarah obviously feels awe for Savannah. How does Savannah share the same respect for Sarah?

Savannah and Sarah were both strong women and I love that they forged such a strong bond. Sometimes as women we are so competitive. Working women judge stay at home moms, and vice-versa. There is no one right way to be a woman. We can all contribute in our own way.

Savannah and Sarah forged a strong bond when they were younger girls. Savannah taught Sarah to read and write and treated her so well. They both suffered losses of family members. Savannah was a very religious and kind person and they were drawn to each other because of their goodness and the strengths that each other admired in the other.

I think Savannah was absolutely amazed at Sarah's strength. Savannah was morally good and strong, while trying to be brave and strong like Sarah was. Sarah was brave and such a protector of her family, while all the while feeling inferior in moral goodness to Savannah, even though she was a great woman too... They complemented one another very well.
