Mr. Hartright had some dreams, if I remember correctly, that concerned "the woman in white", he and Marian had feelings about the Count and Sir Percival that they couldn't prove right away, and things that were said by Anne Catherick. I can't think of details right now but remember events and feelings triggering questions.
I think their feelings were the biggest thing. We all have felt things weren't quite right and it is a strong feeling.
