Weakness
In his concluding narrative, Count Fosco describes “thefirst and last weakness” of his life. What is the nature of Fosco’s self-described “deplorable and uncharacteristic fault”?

He absolutely adored Marian, his first and last weakness. Because of this, he claims, Percival died from his own stubborness, Lady Glyde was saved a second time from the asylum, and Mr. Hartright got away. He didn't kill Lady Glyde but instead put her in the asylum using Anne Cathericks identity.
He probably wasn't 'taken in' by people often- he was the one usually doing that. I think it surprised him how much he cared for her.
