motherless children
Neither Sara nor Lottie has a mother. In what ways has this affected them? How are the two girls similar, and how are they different?

Sara had been brought up in a loving home and even though she had lost her mother she still had her father who adored her and tried always to be with her. Little Lottie was much younger and did not abviously have that kind of relationship with her father and so to get attention she would throw temper tantrums. Sara was able to teach her not to react that way and befriended her and gave her things to think about other than her loss.
