What did Diggory do that he regretted afterward? Who did his deed affect and how? How did he right that wrong? What is the significance of the term "son of Adam" and Diggory's role in the world of Narnia?

He awoke the witch. This affected his world and the world of Narnia.
That one act rolled all of it into motion.
With the witch awake, evil and destruction came into Narnia...the start of evil there, and came also to the world.
