Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

I would not ban or censor the book. Perhaps the controversial concepts in the book were: (1) the idea of travel in a "wrinkle" and (2)of beautiful creatures instead of angels working with God to stop evil and to give peace.
I would imagine that nowadays this book would b controversial because of the religious content. I recently watched the Disney version of the movie made a few years ago and was pretty surprised that they took all religious content out of it.
I mean, that was such a huge part of the book... no wonder the movie stunk.
