None will leave unchanged
There is a promise at the front of the book that none that enter Fablehaven will leave unchanged. How did their experiences at Fablehaven change Seth and Kendra? What do you take from the book?

They went feeling like their stay there would be boring and came away with memories of a most extraordinary experience. They gained a wonderful respect and love for their grandparents and found a new awe in nature around them and newfound courage.
Well, for one they believe in things they didn't believe in before they got there!
I think Seth has learned a lot about the consequences of actions. Unfortunately that doesn't mean he won't make mistakes again later (little spoiler) but I think his intentions are good.
Kendra learned she was much braver than she thought.
They both gained that new relationship with their grandparents.
It opened their eyes to a world they had not previously known. Once you learn something new, you can never return to being naive in that particular area again. They left more mature, less innocent, and stronger. Seth learned a little restraint and respect for rules, while Kendra learned how and when to take risks.
