Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

He learned that he was resourceful and unselfish and brave. Those were lessons that helped him grow. Being away from his wonderful home and things he loved made him long for them and appreciate them even more when he returned.
I agree...he appriciated his simple life more fully but also had more of a sense of purpose, knowing that he had gone out and really lived, not just existed from meal to meal like he had before his adventure. He had found his own self worth.
Yep. He found his true potential. He made real friends. He learned About himself and his world. He could truly appreciate the comfort and peace of his home after his adventure.
