A person who tries to do what is right under difficult circumstances and exhibits bravery and courage.
My Dad was my hero as he battled his cancer in a dignified manner. My husband is my hero in his service in war and his battles in life with his illnesses.
That is exactly right mom.
Being a hero doesn't mean you are never scared, never challenged, never want to give up... being a hero is feeling all those things and still going and doing what is right.
