Favorite books are the Anne series and Emily series by L.M Montgomery, the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, Timeline and Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton,just about everything by Shannon Hale (especially Goose Girl and Book of A Thousand Days), the Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, the Hunger Games trilogy and Gregor series by Suzanne Collins, the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare, and Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld. I add to my favorites list all the time!

I thought is was a good book but I did like the PBS mini-series of it a lot more! There were characters and stories in the movie that really made the story come alive...so I was disappointed that they were not part of the book.
I liked the mini series better too... but I did see it before reading the book so I think that is part of the reason. I was expecting different things from the book and was a little confused at first.
