Love
Love is an important theme. Screwtape is confouned by the human idea of love and God's love for man. What do you think Lewis was saying in the book as a whole, about human and divine love?

That God loves us all and even gave His Son so that His great love could save us all and bring us back to him. Devils feel no love and so that emotion is of no importance to them. So why do we sometimes give up God's love in our lives and chose something that gives nothing?
